Talk about public entertainment
The focus is pop culture: reality TV, music, adult creators, and internet culture. Rumorly is not intended to be a directory of accusations about private people or minors. Curiosity about a public story does not justify exposing someone’s private information.
Keep speculation recognizable
A theory is a theory. Separate what a source says from what you infer, and include useful context when you can. Do not invent evidence, impersonate a source, or present an unverified claim as established fact.
Keep the conversation human
Disagree with a take without harassing the person behind it. Threats, targeted abuse, private personal information, and sexual content involving minors have no place in the community.
Let the story change
Responses, supporting sources, and corrections should remain connected to the original story. Adding context or challenging a post should not require payment. Submissions in the current app go into a review queue instead of appearing publicly right away.
One account. One vote.
Voting measures interest. Paid status must not increase voting power, imply credibility, promote a rumor, bury a correction, or buy a removal. A heat score is never a truth score.
